About monitoring here
Bharuch is an old river port on the Narmada, once known for cotton and today the seat of a district crowded with chemical plants. The town lies beside the Mumbai–Ahmedabad highway and railway and the long bridges over the river, and its own estates at Zadeshwar and Bholav serve mid-sized makers and the warehouses and offices that support them. The larger estates around Ankleshwar and Dahej have pages of their own, so this page is about the town, the river and the stores around it. A temperature data logger in Bharuch might sit in a pharmacy, a hospital blood bank, a chemical stockist's godown or a cotton store. The Narmada can rise fast when the dam upstream releases water, so records have to survive wet and disrupted days.
The air is hot and humid for much of the year, the monsoon is heavy, and the river can rise quickly after releases upstream, so low-lying stores near the bank meet damp, flood risk and cut power in the same weeks.
Areas
An industrial pocket on the town's edge, with mid-sized engineering and chemical-trading units and storage yards close to the highway.
An estate on the town side of the river with small manufacturers and godowns that serve the larger plants in the district.
The older lanes beside the Narmada, with hospitals, medicine shops, cotton and grain traders and godowns in buildings that hold damp near the water.
Two large chemical estates in the district, covered in detail on our Ankleshwar page, whose plants often keep stores and suppliers in Bharuch town too.
The coastal port region on its own page, for which Bharuch is the nearest large town for hospitals, banks and suppliers.
Industries
Chemical traders and small makers in town hold drums and containers in godowns, and a reading in each room shows how a store behaved when the afternoon sun and humid air arrived together.
Hospitals in the town serve a district with many plants and keep blood banks, vaccine fridges and emergency stores whose alarms must reach staff when the river floods the roads.
Cotton traders and ginning units hold bales in godowns that take on damp near the river, and a humidity record shows when a store needs airing before stock is affected.
Warehouses beside the highway and the railway receive loads bound for the ports and the plants, and a log at the dock door shows how long each lot stood in the heat.

Why Prithvi
FAQ
Those pages describe the large chemical estates and the port region in detail. This one covers the town of Bharuch, its river and its own stores, and links to the others for the estates. See how a Prithvi temperature data logger works.
Yes. Each location is a site with its own alert contacts, and the owner sees both in one list, with reports that can be exported for any period.
Fix loggers above the likely flood level, keep probe cables out of drains and consider a GSM model that continues to report if WiFi drops. We advise on positions once we know the building.
For a Bharuch store, VEGA Calibrations, our parent company, can calibrate the loggers and map the room before probes are fixed. Send the store size and limits, and we confirm how it is arranged.
