About monitoring here
Delhi is a city of records: hospitals and nursing homes, wholesale medicine markets, cold stores that feed the capital's kitchens and a dense spread of laboratories, all in a city that never quite switches off. A temperature data logger in Delhi has to cover rooms of very different kinds, from a hospital blood bank to a godown in an industrial area on the northern edge. The estates at Okhla, Naraina, Bawana and Narela each have their own character, and many of the buildings are older, multi-storey and cramped, so running cable is rarely an option. Wireless loggers with alerts to phones and email let one person watch rooms in several parts of the city, and a dated log gives hospitals, distributors and food businesses something firm to show when an inspector or a customer asks how a room was kept.
Summers are extreme and dry, with afternoon heat that overwhelms ageing cooling in godowns and upper-floor stores, while cold winter nights can chill rooms that were only ever designed to stay warm.
Areas
A long-established industrial area in the south of the city where pharmaceutical, packaging, garment and electrical units share tight plots and storage is a room or a floor beside production.
A compact industrial area in the west with small manufacturers, printers and workshops, where goods are kept on upper floors that hold the day's heat long after sunset.
A large estate on the north-western edge, laid out later than the older areas, with food-processing, plastics and warehousing units on bigger plots and long distances between buildings.
A northern industrial and warehousing belt where distribution firms and food businesses keep stock in large sheds, often far from the person responsible for it.
Industries
Hospitals and nursing homes in the city keep blood bank fridges, medicine rooms and vaccine stores that must stay in range through a power cut, and an alert to the duty staff matters most at night.
Medicine wholesalers and distributors hold stock in shop-floor stores and small warehouses where the compressor of one air conditioner decides the temperature of everything on the shelves.
Cold stores, dairy depots and kitchens that supply hotels and caterers have chambers opened many times a day, so a reading every few minutes shows the pattern of each door opening.
Diagnostic and testing laboratories keep reagents, samples and reference materials in fridges and freezers that are checked by hand at most twice a day.

Why Prithvi
FAQ
Yes. We plan visits by direction so one day covers neighbouring areas. Send the area, the rooms and a contact through the enquiry form, WhatsApp or a call, and we confirm a day with you.
A low limit can be set alongside the high one, so a store that gets too cold on a winter night raises an alert just as a hot afternoon would. Limits are set room by room, so a medicine fridge and a dry store each get their own.
Yes. Each building is a site with its rooms beneath it, alerts go to the person responsible for each room, and a head of quality sees every site in one view and can export a report for any period.
Loggers run on rechargeable batteries and connect over Wi-Fi, and GSM versions use the mobile network, so nothing has to be chased through a wall. We check the signal in each room during the visit before fixing positions. See how a Prithvi temperature data logger works.
