Monitoring in Little Aden
Little Aden is a rocky peninsula on the western side of Aden's harbour, joined to the mainland by a narrow neck, with the coastal town of Buraiqa, beaches, fishing landings and an industrial history linked to oil: a refinery was built there in the 1950s. Today a temperature data logger on the peninsula is concerned with ordinary storage in a hot, salty setting: fish and ice stores along the shore, food and medicine in the shops and clinics of the town, and the stores of any plant or workshop that needs steady conditions. The page keeps to the kinds of rooms and stock a logger user might look after on such a peninsula. Little Aden enquiries follow the same case-by-case review as every other request from Yemen.

Where We Work in Little Aden
Buraiqa town, shops and clinics
Shops, bakeries and clinics hold food and medicines in small rooms and refrigerators that must survive hot afternoons and interruptions of power.
Fishing landings and ice stores
Boats land fish on the beaches of the peninsula, where ice stores and cold rooms hold the catch in hot, wet air before it goes to market.
Stores near the oil-industry area
Plants, workshops and suppliers in the industrial part of the peninsula hold spares, instruments and consumables in stores that rust in salty air.
Beachside cafes and small hotels
Cafes and small hotels near the beaches run coolers and bar fridges in simple buildings, with load that rises at weekends and falls in the quietest months.
Industries
Industries We Support in Little Aden
Food & Beverage
Fish traders, bakers and cafe owners hold stock that spoils quickly in warm, damp air, and an alert to a phone tells the owner when a cooler or ice store begins to drift.
Chemical
Stores of oils, coatings and consumables in the industrial part of the peninsula hold limits printed on the label, and an alert from a baking store lets the storekeeper act in time.
Logistics & Warehousing
Goods that cross the harbour or arrive by road wait in small warehouses before they are used, and a logger placed in a load records the heat and salty damp they met.
Services
Temperature Data Logger Services in Little Aden
For Little Aden we would look at WiFi loggers for rooms that have a router, single-point loggers with external probes for ice stores and clinic refrigerators, and multi-point units for larger sheds. VEGA Calibrations, our parent company, can discuss calibration. A WiFi logger needs a router in range and a power supply for the router, and we confirm the option for an outbuilding or a boat store first. No promise is made about supply or installation before a request has been reviewed.
GSM versions are available. Contact us to confirm network compatibility for your country.
Visits
How Visits Are Arranged
Visits and shipments are not promised. Send the business, the rooms to be watched and a contact through the enquiry form or WhatsApp, and we review the request and say what is practical, including whether a call or video session could be arranged to explain how the loggers work.
Where we would start
If a request went ahead, at a fish store we would place one logger near the door and one at the back of the ice room, and add a humidity-reading unit where sweat appears. At a clinic we would begin with the vaccine refrigerator and a battery-backed alert.
FAQ
Little Aden FAQs
With a temperature data logger in Little Aden, can a fishing business keep a record of its ice store?
Yes. A logger in the ice room or cold store records the whole chain from landing to sale, and a report for the dates of a lot can be exported as PDF, Excel or CSV for the buyer. See how a Prithvi temperature data logger works.
How does salty air affect where a logger is fitted on the peninsula?
We keep the logger body indoors and clear of spray and wet walls, let only the probe lead enter the cold space and recommend wiping the probe whenever the room is cleaned.
